Altai is a large mountainous country in the center of Asian continent. There are dangerous peaks covered with eternal ice, taiga, fast crystal-clear rivers, Alpine meadows and steppes. Ancient Scythian civilizations lived here. Many remnants of their culture still remain. No special skills or training is needed to take this tour. Difficulty level of water rifts is 34 points according to a 6 point scale.
Day 1 Arrive to Barnaul. Breakfast. Ride along the famous Chuysky Trakt. Seminsky mountain passage, where the cedar taiga meets sub-Alpine meadows and mountain herbs. Night on the bank of Katun River.
Day 2 Big Yaloman River mouth of the Ailagush River. During preparations for rafting youre taught water safety rules and perform examination of water equipment. First 10 kilometers will give you the time to learn to control the rafts. But in one hour you will face Ilgumensky Rift. You will also have the opportunity to experience great fishing on the Ailagush River.
Day 3 The Ailagush River mouth of the Ursul River. It is the most difficult day of rafting: Kadrinsky breakthrough, Shabash Rift the biggest rift of the river. In the evening you can enjoy Banya (Russian sauna).
Day 4 Mouth of the Ursul River mouth of the Kemechapkyn River. This part of river is calm. After lunch you will hike up the Sacred Mountain and examine cave drawings.
Day 5 Mouth of the Kemechapkyn River the Edigan River. This part of the Katun River is relatively calm and you can enjoy splendid views of wild nature. Lunch on a sandy beach. If you wish you can swim in the river.
Day 6 Return to Barnaul. Tour of the Chemalskaya hydroelectric power station. Check into the hotel. Farewell dinner at a restaurant.
Day 7 Transfer to the airport. Flight to Moscow.
