Hermitage occupies six grand buildings along the shoreline of the Neva River in the very center of Saint Petersburg. The most inspiring aspect of this remarkable architectural ensemble, constructed in 18th–19th centuries, is the Winter Palace. Winter Palace is the Russian tsars’ residence built between 1754 and 1762 based on design by Bartolomeo Rastrelli. Tour of Peter and Paul Fortress. Check into the hotel. Lunch. Personal free time.

Breakfast. Tour of the Tsarskoye Selo in the suburbs of the city. Lunch. Night train to Moscow.
